Medical History of Jyoti (Before Starting Indian Fertility Diet Plan) - What we know so far

Let us understand the medical history of Jyoti. At our online dietitian clinic in Mumbai, Makes You Eat by Dt. Foram Modi, we ask every client about their medical history as a part of client onboarding journey.

This step is very crucial as this reveals what has been tried in the past, what went well, what went unwell. The findings in this step help us craft a right Therapeutic diet plan with clinical and scientific evidence as a basis.

Since 2020, Jyoti had been experiencing scanty menstrual flow. She gets only 2 days of bleeding followed by spotting. Dietitian Foram Modi noted about the possibility of hormonal imbalance and poor health of endometrium.

In 2023, Jyoti mentioned that she suffered a miscarriage because of poor embryo development. She tried again in 2024 for over 6 months, but she was not able to conceive. She also underwent IUI cycle and which also failed.

Dietitian Foram Modi checked her diagnostic reports in 2025 and she noted concerns such as thin endometrial lining, absence of dominant follicles, and the signs of cervicitis.

Dt. Foram Modi understood all these signals and explained about compromised fertility conditions and mentioned that the case requires a more holistic and root cause based approach. The goal of the diet plan is to have a successful conception using Indian vegetarian meals.

Below are notes taken by our online fertility nutritionist Dt. Foram Modi while knowing the medical history of client.

  • Since 2020:

We scheduled a comprehensive full body checkup for the client, including female reproductive
hormones, fasting insulin, basic hormones, AMH, and urine analysis.

The tests were booked for 17th August 2025. This day was chosen so that the hormone tests could be done on the third day of her period for accurate assessment of her reproductive and metabolic health.

Pathology Test Conducted on 17th Aug 2025

At our dietitian clinic in Mumbai, Makes You Eat by Dt. Foram Modi, we conduct pathology lab test mandatorily. These pathology tests help us know the deficiencies in the body, the hormone imbalance levels, and various things which will help us understand what’s going inside the client’s body.

We use the findings from pathology lab tests to craft a right diet plan which focuses to recover those deficiencies. On the same principle, we asked Jyoti to perform various infertility focused pathology tests.

This includes key marker tests such as female reproductive hormone test, AMH, fasting insulin, thyroid profile, basic biochemistry, and urine analysis. At the start of diet plan on 4th July, we don’t wanted to do these tests because we want to wait for a start of fresh menstrual cycle.

So, these tests were conducted on third day of her menstrual cycle on 17th August 2025. The timing was strategically chosen on so that hormonal tests are done on day 3 of cycle for more accuracy.

The objective of fertility expert dietitian Dt. Foram Modi from these lab tests was to identify root cause which affected conception and the health of menstrual cycle. Below are results of various pathology lab tests done on 17th Aug 2025.

During the course of her fertility improvement diet plan program, the client went through a highly challenging phase with emotional breakdown. This period was mentally and emotionally difficult for her, and as a result, she was unable to connect or follow up regularly.

To support her through this phase, a dedicated 45 minute consultation was conducted, during which it was clearly communicated that even in the client’s absence of daily follow-ups, standard protocols, or regular food log sharing, she could still continue progressing.

By this stage of the program, she had already developed the skills required to manage her nutrition independently. She was capable of balancing her plate, incorporating an anti inflammatory approach, reading her body cues, and making mindful food choices aligned with her health and fertility goals.

13th Nov 2025 - Pregnancy Test Positive

The client informed about missed menstrual period, following which a pregnancy test confirmed a positive result. This marked a significant milestone in her fertility journey.

After months of efforts, structured fertility focused nutrition, hormonal balance, and lifestyle improvements, this outcome reflected the positive response of her body to the overall plan.
